Hi, I'm Rohit Kumar
01. About Me
ЁЯММ Astrophysics Researcher | M.Sc. Physics @ Ariel University, Israel | Physics Graduate @ NIT Hamirpur, India
Namaste! I'm Rohit тАУ a passionate physicist from a small village in Bihar, India, now exploring the cosmos at Ariel University, Israel. My journey from wondering about the stars on my village rooftop to actively researching black holes and galaxies is driven by an insatiable curiosity.
ЁЯФн Research Philosophy
I believe that understanding the universe is a sacred act, for nothing is as pure as knowledge. My research focuses on unraveling the mysteries of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN), black hole accretion physics, and galaxy evolution using multi-wavelength observations and computational simulations.
From the land of Litti Chokha to the international stage тАУ curiosity knows no boundaries. The universe is vast, and so is our potential to understand it.

Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN)
Studying supermassive black hole accretion, feedback mechanisms, and their role in galaxy evolution using multi-wavelength data.
Accretion Disk Physics
Investigating disk dynamics in eccentric binary systems and AGN environments through computational simulations.
Cosmology & Cosmic Inflation
Exploring the evolution of the universe, cosmic inflation, and the large-scale structure using observational data and theoretical models.
Galaxy Formation & Evolution
Understanding how galaxies form, evolve, and interact with their central black holes across cosmic time.
Star Formation
Stars are born from the gravitational collapse of giant molecular clouds located in the interstellar medium (ISM). This process creates a complex feedback loop on a cosmic scale, where cold streams of gas form dense cores.
Binary Star Systems
Analyzing wind accretion and mass transfer in eccentric binary systems and their observational signatures.
04. Research Projects
Accretion Disk in Eccentric Binary Systems
Ariel University, Israel
Accretion Disk formation in binary star systems in eccentric orbit.
AGN & Blazar Analysis with NASA Telescopes
BHU, Vanarasi India
Multi-wavelength study of Active Galactic Nuclei and blazars using hard X-ray data from Swift BAT, XRT, UVOT, Fermi-LAT, and NuSTAR telescopes. Focus on spectral analysis and variability.
150mm Newtonian Reflecting Telescope
NIT Hamirpur
Designed and constructed a 150mm aperture Newtonian reflecting telescope for astronomical observations. Hands-on experience in optics, mirror fabrication, and telescope mounting.
Demonstrating the Sun-Earth model
NIT Hamirpur
Designed and constructed a Earth-Sun system. Explains EarthтАЩs rotation and revolution, seasons, day and night, tides, celestial positions, and satellite orbits.
Zooniverse Citizen Science
Part-time Independent Researcher
Active contributor to various Zooniverse projects, assisting in classification and data analysis for astronomy research projects including galaxy morphology and supernova searches.
